Tough loss Friday night (or was that Saturday morning?), 11-5 against the Beastie Crew. The outdoor 'Wrecks won a hard-fought match against the Piranhas in the first real high temp game of the season. The details are somewhat foggy due to my brain cooking to about medium well, but I believe the final score was 7-4 for the W. Feel free to send corrections if I got the score wrong.
The indoor team has a "I'm usually three beers in by this time" start this Friday (aka 11 P.M.). Check out the poll and vote on your attendance, particularly for practice (although I'll go ahead and guess that the indoor 'Wrecks will vote nay on practice in order to make up for the lack of quality drinking time). On the minus side, The 'Wrecks dropped a difficult match to the Unicorns, 5-2. A few well-timed runs proved to be the difference. On the plus side, there was some wonderful acting and a flourish of cards from an appreciative referee. New poll on the right.
Practice is cancelled today. The poll indicated 2 yes responses and 2 snarky responses - great for witty repartee, but not enough for practice. See you at the game tomorrow.
As you may or may not have noticed, there's been a slight shortage of updates since our stopper/part-time goalie/webmaster ventured bravely into the world of parenting. Since this kid thing tends to tie up your life for ...oh, the next 18 years or so, I've (Alex) volunteered to help out with the website in the meantime.
